Anthony Martial Gets Big Offer from New Club
No one expected this news!
A new club has reportedly offered Anthony Martial a big contract after leaving Manchester United as a free agent.
The forward has been linked to several clubs, but a new report says one club is ready to give him the “biggest contract in their history” to sign him. According to Sport24 via The Sun, Greek club AEK Athens has offered Martial a very high-paying contract.
If Martial accepts, he will become the highest-paid player in the club’s 100-year history.
This summer, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Erik Lamela became a free agent and signed a three-year deal with AEK Athens after leaving La Liga team Sevilla.
Interestingly, Martial and Lamela were involved in a heated moment during a famous Premier League match in 2020. During Tottenham’s 6-1 win over Manchester United, Martial received a red card after a clash with Lamela, who appeared to elbow him during a corner kick.
Now, the two players might reunite as teammates in Greece.
