Man Arrested After Woman’s Death in Ibiza Two Years Ago
A man has been arrested two years after the tragic death of a young British woman who fell from a hotel balcony in Ibiza. The police are still investigating the case, and the woman’s family is asking anyone who knows anything to come forward.
Who Was Robyn Eve Maines?
Robyn Eve Maines was a 24-year-old woman from Wallasey, Wirral, in the UK. She died on 25 September 2022 after falling from the balcony of the Hotel Rosamar in Ibiza. Her death is still being treated as unexplained.
Arrest Made Two Years Later
Recently, a 27-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of being involved in Robyn’s death. British police, working with authorities in Spain, are investigating the case. The man has been interviewed and released on bail while more investigations occur.
What Happened on That Day?
Robyn’s body was found at around 8:30 in the morning near the San Antonio area in Ibiza. At first, local police in Spain led the investigation. However, British police have taken over the case and are asking witnesses to help them figure out what happened.
Police Asking for Witnesses
Merseyside Police Detective Inspector Phil Ryan said the investigation is ongoing, but they need more information from people at the hotel in September 2022. He believes there may be people who visit the hotel every year and might have seen or heard something on the day of Robyn’s death.
The police are hoping that someone might have details that could help them understand the events that led to her fall.
Family’s Heartfelt Appeal
Robyn’s family is still heartbroken and searching for answers. They issued a statement saying, “Our beautiful daughter, Robyn, was tragically taken from us on 25 September 2022. We want justice for her.” They are asking anyone who might know something to come forward and speak to the police.
Ongoing Investigation
Even after two years, Robyn’s death remains a mystery, and her family is desperate for closure. The police continue to follow leads and gather evidence but need the public’s help to solve the case.
If you or anyone you know was at the Hotel Rosamar around 25 September 2022, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the police with any information that could help bring justice for Robyn and her family.
